Specializing in animal feed nutrition and distribution
Products and services
We distribute hundreds of different types of animal feed products from the production sites to farmers throughout the U.S. and Canada . Distribution begins with loading 53' dry vans and reefers at our farming sites and delivered to our temp-controlled warehouses. As well as distribution we also transport huge amounts of additives in bulk for the actual production of animal feed, such as proteins, milk/whey powders, copper sulphates and vitamins. Our main goal is optimizing the total process between producer, transport company and end user.
As a supplier and distributor of animal feed and animal nutrition components, PacWest partners with the world's leading manufacturers to bring our customers a range of commodity and specialty products for the animal feed and nutrition industries. PacWest offers a host of nutritional and functional ingredients for livestock and companion animal applications, including beef, dairy, swine, equine, dog, cat, and bird needs. Natural and artificial flavoring compounds are available, and products are available in dry, water miscible and oil miscible forms, and in multiple package options.
Winter Wheat, Soil Moisture Update
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — South Dakota's winter wheat crop remains mostly in fair condition.
The federal Agriculture Department says in its weekly crop report that 67 percent of the wheat crop is rated fair, with another 17 percent in good condition. Only 16 percent is rated poor or very poor.
Topsoil moisture supplies statewide are rated nearly three-fourths adequate to surplus, with a little more than half of the subsoil moisture in that category.
2018 Crop Prices favor Alfalfa
Alfalfa has the potential for a good return in 2018, especially if dairy quality hay is produced. Note also that many states have significant horse and beef cattle numbers that can use less than dairy-quality hay.
